One of one top reconstructed from two vintage cotton tank tops and vintage ajour jersey sourced from previous projects.

Designed with an elastic waist, adjustable straps, and a structured yet comfortable fit.

Process

• Started shirring he first tank, Reconstructed and reshaped the bust area for an improved fit

• Added adjustable criss cross straps with elastic sections for comfort

• Integrated a vintage doily for additional structure and detailing

• Added a vintage bra overlay to the bust area

• Added a back closure

• Incorporated a second vintage tank top into the waist construction

• Added soft boning to the back for support

• Created ruched back panels and ruched edge details

• Reinforced key construction points for durability

• Added a cotton ruffle trim

• Treated the garment to create a more consistent white tone throughout
